About Us

What is Youth For Life?

 Youth For Life is Victoria’s only active pro-life organisation for young people. Formed in 2008, this voluntary group was assembled to combat the reprehensible Abortion Law Reform Bill that passed into law in October of 2008. Identifying our crucial role as young people to stand up against the purveyors of death, Youth For Life are committed to peacefully but nonetheless relentlessly fighting the barbaric actions of an industry that massacres our children and wounds their parents.

Closely following the work of the Irish Youth Defence, Youth for Life offers young people an opportunity to become active in the most imperative cause in the world today. Youth For Life are dedicated to preventing the destruction of human life from conception, and as a group of enthusiastic young professionals and students, we work together tirelessly to protect unborn children from the horror of abortion. Through street work, rallies, pickets, publications, events, and speaking engagements, Youth For Life members spread the word that the killing of children and victimization of mothers must stop, and we join together in demanding an abortion-free Australia.

Believing emphatically in the all-Australian motto of ‘Fair Go’, Youth For Life are also determined to educate, activate and equip the young people of Australia in the fight to rescue the most defenceless of our Australian brothers and sisters. Through Youth For Life, the youth of Victoria have joined together in saying no to the slaughter of young Australians, and the exploitation of Victorian women. Youth For Life say no to damaged yet voiceless Australian men, bereft Australian siblings and an industry that spins its money from the blood of unborn babies. We demand a fair go for women in crisis pregnancies, for silenced fathers, denied grandparents and butchered Victorian children.

What Does Youth For Life Do?

Youth for Life is committed to educating this generation with the truth about human life and exposing the lies of the abortion industry. Our members are dedicated to activating this generation to take a stand for the most innocent of Australian citizens who are slaughtered every day by the abortion holocaust. Youth For Life understand the importance of training the youth of Australia and empowering them with the knowledge needed to combat the death camps of this nation. We will not allow apathy to grip Australia as innocent human beings are being killed in the name of choice.

Youth for Life works diligently to protect human life from conception and to promote a culture of life in this country. We do this in a number of ways including:

  • Through educational work on the streets – street sessions, public rallies and memorial die-ins - where we meet and speak with the general public and distribute literature which deals with Life Issues
  • Through appearing on TV, radio and in newspapers and by publishing our own newsletter
  • Through building and maintaining innovative and exciting websites to broaden the spectrum of people that hear our pro-life message
  • Through visiting many towns and cities on our Pro-Life Roadshows, speaking engagements, pro-life rallies, training days and novel events geared to attract the young people of Australia
  • Through establishing an effective pro-life presence in universities and giving multimedia presentations and talks in secondary schools.
  • Through providing relevant, creative, bold and effective resources and materials to assist our members as they fight to promote a culture of life in Australia

Why Get Involved?

On 10 October 2008, the Brumby Labor Government of Victoria passed a law opening the door to abortion on demand through all nine months of a pregnancy. The womb of a mother is supposed to be a safe, warm and protective environment for a child in the beginning stages of his/her life. This Abortion Law Reform Bill has turned the womb into a war-zone, as hundreds of thousands of precious Australian babies are murdered every year and their mothers left uncounselled and unsupported.

Youth For Life recognises that this is not simply a political issue, but is a matter of life and death. We understand that we cannot sit silently by, knowing that this violent attack on innocent human life is happening everyday. We believe that we have a duty to take a stand against the systematic slaughter of Australian children in their mother’s wombs. We believe we have a duty to defend the young women of Australia and provide them with real and loving options.

Every year in our country, over 20,000 children are murdered by abortion. 50 million children worldwide meet their death this way…nearly twice the number of victims in the Second World War. Youth For Life aims to serve those who are victims of abortion – a dead baby and a grieving mother – and are determined to prevent Australia from adding to the worldwide sum of this suffering.

The apathy and denial of young Australian people has helped breed a culture of death that has now taken our land by storm. This blind ignorance has gripped this generation and allowed such an evil law to be passed in Victoria. We must now summon the courage and fortitude to fight back and establish a culture of life in our land. We must not and will not be silent. The youth of Australia have heard and answered this pro-life call to arms. We condemn this State-sanctioned killing. We will speak against the murder of our generation at every opportunity. Youth For Life demand an abortion free Australia.

Youth For Life Statement of Purpose

  1. To provide an opportunity for the youth of Victoria to participate in work of a voluntary nature through organised programs.

  2. Developing and maintaining educational programs factually depicting the growth and development of the unborn child.

  3. Developing and maintaining similar educational programs on the issues of abortion, abortion alternatives, euthanasia, and infanticide, and their related topics.

  4. Providing educational materials such as films, books, slides, DVDs, pamphlets to interested schools, individuals, churches or organisations.

  5. Publishing regularly a newsletter/blog and action alerts to provide current information on recent events related to the previously mentioned topics.

  6. Providing information to the public and to women or families faced with a crisis pregnancy so that they get appropriate and real care.

  7. Supporting appropriate legislation which helps protect the basic right to life of all innocent human beings.

  8. Developing and maintaining a grassroots network of Victorians who advocate for right to life issues with their elected representatives.

  9. Providing knowledgeable individuals from the fields of medicine, law and ethics to participate in seminars and media programs on the above topics.

  10. Participating in street work to convey to the youth of Australia the importance of involvement and education on this issue.
